At the Folk House Café, we have a huge range of vegetarian and meat based dishes on an ever-changing menu. We are conscious of the footprint we leave behind. We cook with wholesome, clean ingredients, most of which are organic. Our menus are balanced and accessible but change with the seasons, with specials popping up daily to incorporate happy new food discoveries and old favourites.
Our customers come from all walks of life. They come to the Folk House to learn for pleasure, then to us to eat and drink for pleasure. Our food is made here, in our small yet (almost) perfectly formed kitchen. We use suppliers from as far afield as Bristol Temple Meads and as close as Europe, and all places in between, but not further. Beautiful local salad leaves and cheeses sit side by side with glorious Italian olives and home cured meats. Local ales vie for attention next to rich Spanish house wines.
We really like food here. We really care about it; where it comes from, who grows it, how far it has travelled and in what.
Frankly, my dear, we DO give a damn.
